National Marfan Foundation (NMF)

Description:

A chapter of the national foundation that is dedicated to fostering research and service programs dealing with Marfan syndrome, an inherited connective tissue disorder. Goals of the organization are to provide accurate and timely information about this condition to patients, family members and physicians, provide a means for patients and relatives to share experiences and to support one another and to improve medical care for those afflicted with the disorder. Meets quarterly in various places in northern California. Call for location. Guest speakers include physicians and other professionals who provide educational information about the disorder. Printed materials are available in English and Spanish.
