Description:

Raises funds for medical research for Machado-Joseph Disease, a disorder similar to Parkinson's, Huntington's and Lou Gehrig's (ALS) disease. The condition is a hereditary, neurodegenerative condition which causes ataxia, slurred speech, difficulty swallowing and loss of eye movement, sensations and muscle mass. Tax-deductible donations are distributed to researchers affiliated with nonprofit institutions. All staff and board members are volunteers.
