Description:
The Deaf and Disabled Telecommunications Program (DDTP) is a state program, established by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), to provide deaf and disabled Californians with services and equipment that allow them to use the phone. California Relay Service (CRS) is a statewide relay system transmitting spoken and typed messages between those who have TTY and those who do not. CRS can be accessed on any phone by dialing 711. California Telephone Access Program (CTAP) distributes telecommunications equipment and services for individuals certified as having functional limitations of hearing, vision, mobility, speech and/or interpretation of information (described separately).
