CORA’s Supportive Housing program provides survivors with safe housing solutions, including: (1) subsidized housing for up to a year while they stabilize; or (2) subsidized housing for up to three years in which they can then remain permanently in the unit. Supportive Housing survivors are matched with CORA advocates who provide practical and emotional support to successfully acquire resources and navigate systems. Survivors begin their work in the SHP by creating an individualized plan for housing stability and self-sufficiency. Throughout the term of their service with CORA, survivors meet with their advocate to assess their progress in achieving goals identified in their plan and adapting it as needed to address changing conditions in their life.
