Description:

The goal of the Housing Division at Community Resource Project, Inc. is to improve energy efficiency and reduce the impact of energy costs on a family’s household budget. Through assistance in the payment of utility bills, the installation of energy-saving measures in housing stock, and energy conservation education, the Housing Division works to build a thriving, green community. We recognize that energy costs often make up a very substantial portion of a household’s expenditures. In times of need, many families struggle to meet their energy bill obligations. Through the Home Energy Assistance Program, the Housing Division provides eligible families with a credit to their utility bills, available once every two years. With this credit also comes education about energy conservation, budgeting, and suggestions for easy-to-implement measures to reduce energy use in the home.

Appointment necessary, Applications may be mailed to those over 60 y/0 or disabled.

Service Wait Estimate:
