Provides information and referral and emergency assistance to residents of East Palo Alto and Menlo Park.

Description:

El Concilio’s Emergency Service Partnership, serves the East Palo Alto and Menlo Park geographic area. The purpose of this program is to address the requests of resident needs for emergency provisions including food, shelter, homeless prevention assistance and critical family needs. These safety-net services allow residents in crisis to stabilize their situation over the short-term and to receive assistance in working towards long-term solutions. With language capacity to serve in English, Spanish and Tongan, services are rendered through an application and verification process and include information and resources for homeless prevention, housing, shelter referrals, food provisions, advocacy, information and/or referrals, forms assistance,health benefits and mental health linkages. The office is located at 2396 University Avenue, East Palo Alto, CA 94303. Hours of Operation for Walk-Ins: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9 – 11 AM and 1 – 4 PM; Tuesdays 1 – 4 PM and; Thursdays 9 – 11 AM. Using the application process, services rendered include information and resources for homeless prevention, housing, shelter referrals, food provisions, advocacy, information and/or referrals, forms assistance health benefits and mental health linkages, are provided. Shelter Referrals must verify and meet 90 day San Mateo County residency requirement.
