Marine Science Institute
Description:
Offers educational programs to Bay Area schools, pre-kindergarten through university level. The Discovery Voyage is a four-hour exploration of the San Francisco Bay aboard the 90-foot research vessel, the Robert G. Brownlee. The Shoreside program takes place on site and includes hands-on activities such as catching and identifying live fish and taking mud grabs. The Inland Voyage brings live animals to schools with our trailer-mounted aquarium. During the summer, a week-long Marine Camp provides children grade K-12 a way to experience the local marine ecology.
