Native Sons of the Golden West

Description:

A fraternal organization composed of men and women age 18 or over who were born in California. Sponsors a scholarship program for high school students who are related to members, works for the preservation of historic buildings, sponsors an annual observance of the date on which California was admitted to the union and is the official sponsoring agent for the Cleft Palate Program. There are local groups, called parlors, in nearly every county. Dues vary from one parlor to another.
