Palm Avenue Detoxification Program
Description:
A 15-bed detoxification program for men and women from San Mateo County. Offers a safe homelike atmosphere for persons withdrawing from the effects of alcohol and/or other drugs. Persons cannot be admitted if their behavior is dangerous to staff or other residents, if they require professional nursing care, if they are unable to walk, if they require restraints or, if in the opinion of the staff, they require immediate medical care or evaluation. Primary focus of the program is to refer residents to ongoing treatment within the community. Also provides a 24-hour crisis/information phone line for all persons whose lives are affected by alcohol and drug abuse.Location
