Direct Advocacy - PWDF provides legal representation of and consultations for individuals with mental and/or developmental disabilities on Social Security benefits and issues under the Social Security Administration (SSA) and in federal court. PWDF also provides representation in employment, postsecondary education, health care and housing. Public Awareness and Education - PWDF’s Education Program is designed to increase public awareness and education on Social Security disability benefits, employment, education, health care, housing, and other issues related to psychiatric and intellectual/developmental disabilities (IDD). We organize public awareness Seminars and Workshops to educate the public while promoting social changes to ensure access and independence for individuals with psychiatric and/or IDD.

Description:

PWDF provides education and advocacy services for people with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities. Our goal is to provide total integration of people with mental disabilities into the whole of society. For more information please visit www.pwdf.org.
