Maintains surveillance, investigation, follow-up and control services for all reportable communicable disease in the county as mandated by Title 17, California Code of Regulation, Section 2500. Offers professional consultation to health care providers, patients and their families, community organizations and the general public regarding communicable disease. Also publishes the "Communicable Diseases Quarterly Report" which reports quarterly communicable disease statistics and local informational alerts for health care providers.
