Represents, educates and serves physicians and promotes quality medical care for the people of San Mateo County. SMCMA provides the public with referrals to San Mateo County physicians based on geographic area preference, specialty, hospital affiliation and language needs. Provides civic groups, schools and others with physician speakers to discuss medical topics. Professional ethics, fee and insurance mediation services are offered via a panel of physicians who review written complaints and initiate investigations. Also provides the public with a forum for investigating concerns about standard of care or professional ethics.Location
