Description:

Administers all building codes such as the 2010 California Building, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical Energy, and Fire Code. Issues permits to those doing the above kind of work either in new construction, remodeling, additions or modifications and termite work. Inspections are made during the progress of the work to make sure it conforms to the applicable code. Permits for such works as furnace replacement, termite reports, electrical service change by a licensed electrical contractor and some gas, water or sewer line repair can be approved via mail-in or FAX communication.
