Description:
The Louis A. Turpen Aviation Museum focuses on commercial aviation and the airport's role as "Gateway to the Pacific." It is housed in an 11,500 square foot facility modeled on the passenger waiting room of the 1937 San Francisco Airport Administration Building. The San Francisco Airport Commission Aviation Library, open by appointment, contains over 8,000 books and periodicals, 3,000 photographs and documents, and 18,000 artifacts available to researchers and the interested public.Location
