A police drop-off center and jail alternative for persons who have been arrested for driving under the influence or being intoxicated in public.

Description:

Provides a drop-off and counseling center for persons who have been arrested for driving under the influence, or being intoxicated in public, or drug abuse. Provides a safe alternative to jail, and includes sleeping facilities, a lounge area and a snack, as well as counseling and education. Program participants can stay up to 18 hours and must be brought in by a police officer or referred from a designated hospital. Facilities include a microwave oven, washer/dryer and donated clothing.
