V.A. Information & Referral Service (VAIRS) provides information about services at the VA such as addiction treatment, mental health programs, short-stay nursing home program, homeless shelter, case management, women's services, rehabilitation programs for stroke, trauma or spinal cord injury. A veteran or the family or friends of a veteran can call to have VA programs explained and for direct referral to these programs.
